Violence In The Black Community

Lately, the violence and the crime wave in the black communities has been rising. It seems as though since the disaster in New Orleans, we've been become even more violent against each other. After the Don Imus incident, which was highly uncalled for, we need to reconstruct the way we present ourselves in this world. If we continue to call each other deraugatory names, how can we expect other races to respect us? There is no right time to use that language, it shouldn't be used at all. We make ourselves victims of society by trying to permit the white race to not say it, though its written all over our homes (my nigga my bitch, my hoe), our clothes, music, need I say more? We've got to start loving and respecting each other, before any other race is going to love and respect us.

Why We Dont Love Ourselves

Originally from Boston, I've done and been places I thought I would never go, but what I've discovered is that life makes no sense if we're not true to ourselves. So often do we try to fit in and often do things that we shouldn't because we want to be part of a group. That can cause any sane person to go crazy. I'm so blessed to be here and now I'm starting to realize that time is limited and the best way to live life to the fullest is to have fun, laugh, and do what makes me feel most comfortable
